So it's been far too long (yet again) since the last update, but today's upated includes some shots of the first UP Rock Train of the 2009 season in the UP Rock Train photo album, including an unpatched Cotton Belt GP60. To date it's the only Rock Train I've shot this year. Check em out if you get a chance.

It's been far too long since I added more photos to the website. However, today's update is a pretty large one. Back at the end of July I took a four day railfanning trip to Southern Minnesota, and a four part trip report had been added to the trips section of the photos page. Be sure and check it out.

I also made some updates to the Layout page in the model railroading section, including a layout plan of my newest layout. I really need to spend some more time updating this section of the website, as there are a lot of updates and new photos to add.

I'm also really hoping to get more photo updates done in the next few weeks. I have a lot of photos from recent months to share (including the first Rock Train of the Season on the Reedsburg sub, a couple of chases of the SP 4449, the Amtrak Disney special, and many other interesting items). If you're a regular visitor keep checking back and I'll try and start regular updates again!

I added more photos today to the Reedsburg Sub and Madison area photos on the photos page. I'm getting caught up on processing some photos from the last few months. I should have a whole lot more photos to add to the site in the next week or so, so keep checking back for more frequent updates.

I finally found some time to add some pictures from mid January to the website, as well as create a new album. The new album and photos are in the Prairie Subdivision album under Wisconsin and Southern in the photos section. They include pictures of a relatively rare WSOR plow extra on the Prairie Sub, as well as a chase of the WSOR 4025 leading a train on the same day on the Prairie Sub. Check out the new photos if you get a chance.

Added another album, this time a Saturday Morning M&P Train. I also updated the Currently on the Workbench page with a couple new future projects and the completion of my model of the WSOR passenger car Notre Dame. Check them out if you get a chance.

Finally another update! While school has kept me busy and not left me with a whole lot of time for railfanning or website stuff lately, today I added a few more pictures from a chase on the last day of 2008 to my Reedsburg Sub Album. I hope to add more photo and perhaps a new album sometime soon, but we'll see what time allows. Keep checking back periodically for new updates to Badger Rails!

Added another trip report today from a Trip to the Mississippi River on October 4, 2008. Check it out if you've got a few minutes, I think you'll enjoy the photos. I also updated the home page photo, which I hope to start doing on a regular basis again. I know I've been slacking on that lately!

I got another album update made today, adding some more photos to the Milwaukee Road 261 album. The 261 made a series of trips out of the Milwaukee area from August 13-19, and I chased a portion of one of the 261's turns from Milwaukee to New Lisbon and back.

One side note is that your webmaster will be gone on vacation next week, so I'll miss my usual Thursday update of the website and photo of the week. When I return though, I anticipate getting a number of new updates on up on the website.

Lot of updates today! First and probably most noticable is that I added a links page to the website. I put together a listing of some of my favorite website and websites with useful information relating to railroads. There are more websites I'd like to add yet, and perhaps at some point in the future I'll get around to doing that.

Secondly, I added some things to the Projects page in the Model Railroad section of the website. Being summer I've had more time on my hands recently, and I've accomplished a couple of projects I started earlier in the year. I've also got a couple other projects half way done that I'll probably update the page with in the next few weeks, and then I've added a new future project that I'm starting to put materials together for. I've been kind of neglecting the model railroad section of the website, so hopefully more updates to that section will follow.

I also added some new photos. This time I put up a set of 9 photos in one of the Canadian Pacific albums from a trip I made to Milwaukee two weeks ago. I've got quite a backlog of photos that I need to put up on the website yet (including WSOR photos and photos from a local tourist railway, Mid-Continent), so that's another project I'm hoping to get to soon.

And the last thing I did today was change the website homepage picture. I've been trying to keep up with that every week, usually changing the picture sometime on Thursday.

I added another trip report today, from I trip I made July 24 chasing a relatively rare soutbound WSOR train on the Reedsburg Subdivision. I also made a few minor changes to things, including rearranging the order of some of the albums of the photos page, and updated the homepage photo and description. Keep watching for future updates!

June 29 - July 1, 2008, a good friend and I took a trip to the Twin Ports area near Duluth, Minnesota, in search of the last locomotives from the Duluth, Missabe, and Iron Range. It took me two weeks, but I finally got around to getting all the photos edited and a "range report" put together. So todays update is the trip report, which can be found here in the photos section. If you've got a few minutes to spare, check it out.

Still adding some more photos, this time a few shots from about two weeks ago at the WSOR's yard in Madison of the WSOR's E units and a pair of bandit MP15ACs. They can be found, appropriately, in the WSOR around Madison album.

I added a few more photos to the Canadian Pacific Tomah and Watertown Subdivision album from a recent afternoon spent around Portage and Wisconsin Dells. Check 'em out!

Finally, an update to something other than the homepage photo! I added another album from my trip to Chicago and Franklin Park Railroad Days. Now that school is finally winding down, I hope to have more time to devote to updates. Look for more updates sometime soon!

It's live! After many month of hard work, today marks the official launch of the website. I'm sure there are many changes to come, but I figure I had to start somewhere. The main "big project" still not finished is making all of the album pages blue (like the UP Passenger album), but that will come eventually.
