UP 2002 east is on the point of MSSPR as it departs Adams, Wisconsin for Milwaukee and eventually Chicago. On the right the old Adams coaling tower stands gaurd for the passage of yet another train. UP 2002 is painted for the Salt Lake Winter Olympics of 2002. Personally I think it's one of the UP's neatest specialty schemes still running. At the same time as this train was departing a crew was also ready to go in the siding with one of the "new" Weston Coal trains that now run via the Adams line. The DPU on the train can be seen at left, and both trains were actually moving at the time of this picture. Photo by Noah J. Hofrichter, 1/9/2011.

This photo and more from my adventures around the UP Wisconsin Division can be found in a photo album dedicated to the Adams Line.
Welcome to Badger Rails! My name is Noah Hofrichter, and you've stumbled across my little corner of the web. I'm a railfan and model railroader from southern Wisconsin, and at this site you'll find some of my photos of both railroad and non-railroad subjects that I've taken around the area. Also to be found here are photos and information on my model railroad. I hope you enjoy your look around the site, and be sure to check back often for updates!
