Proud Supporter Of Operation Lifesaver

For many years the WSOR local from Madison to Reedsburg and return was an afternoon job out of Madison, meaning the run back south from Reedsburg was in darkness. In the past year or so though, a shift in the schedule means on some days the train can be found in daylight still in Reedsburg or Baraboo. On one such day in late October, I finally got a chance to chase a southbound in sunlight. It opens up different angles that are fairly well lit, such as this shot of the WSOR 3806 and train splitting the wig-wag signals in Dane. Photo by Noah J. Hofrichter, 10/31/2008.
Welcome to Badger Rails! My name is Noah Hofrichter, and you've stumbled across my little corner of the web. I'm a railfan and model railroader from southern Wisconsin, and at this site you'll find some of my photos of both railroad and non-railroad subjects that I've taken around the area. Also to be found here are photos and information on my model railroad. I hope you enjoy your look around the site, and be sure to check back often for updates!
